Colin Crehan
Headmaster
Holy Trinity Catholic School

I am an innovative, diligent and energetic senior leader with a special mission to inspire generations of effective school leaders, staff and young people. I model a strong sense of purpose. I am committed in my service of others and in particular to the most disadvantaged. I am a principled and strong professional with a passion for school improvement. I have a proven track record of successful transformational leadership. An example of this would be in my current school which has transformed from being in ‘Special Measures’ to becoming an ‘Outstanding’ faith school within 5 years of my leadership. I am experienced in both rapidly improving schools and in developing them sustainably over a longer period of time. Alongside my Headteacher experience of 8 years, I have also held leadership positions as an Academy CEO (18 months) & School Improvement partner (1 year) in support of a Primary School judged as ‘Inadequate’ in inspection. I have also carried out many other school improvement assignments and I am fully trained to inspect schools. I have extensive experience in mentoring and coaching Headteacher’s and other Senior Leaders. Amongst the many current challenges facing schools, is the vital work to reinstate the ‘social contract’ of partnership between school, pupil & home that has been severed as a result of the pandemic and subsequent cost of living crisis.
